Cavity walls and loft, Heaton
"The thermal survey showed our back bedroom glowing like a radiator. Two days of work later it is the warmest room in the house."

Insulation in Newcastle and the North East
Loft, cavity wall and underfloor insulation, fitted by our own team across Tyneside. It starts with a free thermal survey, so you see exactly where the heat gets out.
Orange is heat escaping. Drag the line across the house.
Where your heat goes
A typical uninsulated semi, drawn the way our thermal camera sees it. Tap a part of the house to see how we fix it.
Most Tyneside homes built after the 1920s have a gap between two layers of brick. We fill it from outside in a day, through small holes we make good after.
You have 100 mm. We would add 170 mm to reach the recommended 270 mm.
Top up from £395, fitted in half a day.
Measure your loft
Most lofts we open in Newcastle have about 100 mm, laid years ago and squashed flat since. Pop your head through the hatch with a ruler, and move the slider to match.

Cavity walls
One small hole and a borescope camera show whether your cavity is clean, dry and right for filling. About one house in ten is not, and we tell you so.
We drill 22 mm holes in the mortar lines, about a metre apart, and never through the bricks.
Mineral wool is blown in under pressure until every part of the cavity is full, corners included.
Each hole is filled with mortar matched to yours. By teatime the wall looks as it did.

Draught proofing, Whitley Bay
"They told me my loft was already fine and the draughts were the real problem. Nobody has ever talked me out of spending money before."

Underfloor, Gosforth
"Our old floorboards were freezing. They insulated from the void underneath, and not one board came up."

Most brick homes built after the 1920s have a cavity. We check with a borescope camera first, and we tell you if your walls are too exposed to wind driven rain. We turn down about one house in ten.
Not when the wall is right for it and the job is done properly. We check the cavity is clean and your gutters and pointing are sound before we fill anything.
Yes. We fit raised loft legs and boards above the new insulation, so it is never squashed flat.
Loft top ups take half a day. Most cavity walls take a day, with no mess inside the house.
Some households can get insulation free or discounted through energy company and government schemes. At your survey we check what you qualify for before we quote.
Free thermal survey
We come with a thermal camera, show you the pictures on the spot, and leave a written quote. It takes about 45 minutes.
