Your Patio Is Still Under There

Driveways, patios, roofs and render cleaned the way each surface needs it. Soft wash where it has to be gentle, controlled pressure where it has to bite, and the joints re-sanded before we pack up.

Soft wash on roofs

Low pressure and a biocide, so tiles and render are never blasted

1

Driveways, patios and paths

Block paving, Indian sandstone, concrete and tarmac. We lift the moss, the algae and the black weathering line, then brush fresh kiln-dried sand back into every joint so the blocks lock up again instead of rocking under the car.

Roof and render soft washing

No jet goes anywhere near your tiles. A low pressure biocide kills the moss and the lichen at the root and carries on working for months after we leave, so it weathers off rather than coming away in sheets. Same treatment for K-rend, pebbledash and painted render.

Decking, fencing and garden walls

Timber comes up bright without the furring you get from a lance held too close. We sheet the planting, match the pressure to the board rather than the job sheet, and can come back to seal it the same week while it is still clean.

What Nottingham Says

Jobs finished across West Bridgford, Beeston, Arnold, Carlton and Long Eaton.

Twelve years of black on the drive and it came back the colour it was when it was laid. The resanding afterwards is the bit that sold me.

Alan PryceWest Bridgford

They soft washed the roof rather than jetting it, which is what two other firms wanted to do. No slipped tiles and nothing left sitting in the gutters.

Helen MarshBeeston

Turned up when they said they would, covered the borders before anything started, and the price at the end was the price at the start.

Rob TandyArnold

Our patio was lethal in the wet. Not any more. They did the steps and the path down to the shed without me having to ask.

Michael OvettCarlton

Booked them for the shop front and the car park bays. Back the same week and worked out of hours, so we never had to shut.

Why us

Pressure Is the Easy Part

Anyone can hire a jet wash. The damage is done by using the same pressure on everything.

Block paving covered in moss and fallen leaves

The quick way

  • Moss is back by the spring
  • A lance held too close scars the block
  • Joints left empty, so blocks rock and weeds return
  • Roof tiles jetted and left porous
  • Silt washed into the borders and the drain
The same style of paving after cleaning, clean and even in colour

The Trentside way

  • Biocide that keeps killing spores for months
  • Rotary head, so pressure is even across the slab
  • Kiln-dried sand brushed back into every joint
  • Soft wash only on roofs, render and timber
  • Borders sheeted, downpipes flushed, silt leaves with us

FAQ

The Questions We Get Asked

Straight answers, including the ones that talk you out of the wrong job.

It can, if the lance is held too close or the pressure is wrong for the block. We drop the pressure and use a rotary surface cleaner, which holds the water at a fixed distance across the whole slab so you get no stripes and no pitting. Then the joints get kiln-dried sand brushed back in, because an unsanded drive is exactly what lets the blocks rock and the weeds back through.

No, and we would talk you out of anyone who offers to. A jet strips the surface off a concrete tile and can push water up under the laps. Roofs get a soft wash instead: low pressure, a biocide that kills the moss at the root, and months of it carrying on working so the growth goes brittle and weathers off on its own.

Most driveways around Nottingham land between 180 and 400 pounds, depending on the size, the surface and how far gone it is. Send a photo through the form and you get one fixed number back the same day rather than a range and a site visit.

Borders get sheeted and the planting gets watered down first so nothing takes up the run-off. At the end we flush the downpipes and the gully, then the silt goes in the van with us. You should not be sweeping up after we have gone.

A soft washed roof usually holds for three to four years. A patio or a drive is closer to eighteen months to two years in this part of the country, and sooner if it sits under trees or faces north and never gets the sun on it.
