Reviews

Trees across Manchester

Crown reduction, Didsbury

"Our sycamore was blocking the whole garden. They took two metres off all round, and it still looks like a tree, not a lollipop."

Carmen RuizDidsbury

Felling, Chorlton

"A tall poplar right next to the house, taken down in sections without a scratch on the conservatory. The stump was ground out the same afternoon."

Tariq HaddadChorlton

Conservation area, Prestwich

"They knew we were in a conservation area before I did, sent the council notice, and came back six weeks later exactly as promised."

Questions

Before you book tree work

Only if it has a Tree Preservation Order or you live in a conservation area. We check the council map for your address and handle the paperwork.

Yes, with care. From March to August we check every tree for active nests first, and if we find one we wait until the chicks have gone.

Branches are chipped and recycled. Logs can be left for you, and stumps are ground out 30 cm below the surface so you can turf or plant over.

You can have branches cut back to your boundary, but the wood belongs to your neighbour, so we offer it back. Where we can, we talk to them first.

Yes, with 5 million pounds of public liability insurance, and every climber holds NPTC certificates.
